Salon Parlour is founded on the belief that the time you spend with us should be the most relaxing part of your day. Our dream is to create a beautiful space for talented, like-minded Stylists and Therapists to take great care of their clients in a relaxing, comfortable environment.
Salon Parlour is the ultimate place to experience affordable luxury, whether it’s a pre-event polishing or a total transformation. We understand that great service is vital in creating the Salon Parlour experience and will do our best to accommodate your needs during your time with us.
We uphold high standards of hygiene at Salon Parlour and our friendly and talented Hair Stylists, Beauty Therapists and Nail Technicians are all appropriately certified and each have years of experience.
Salon Parlour is the first Matrix: R.A.W concept salon in New Zealand. Biolage R.A.W products consist of a new collection of all natural hair care from the shampoo basin right through to take home regimes. We are proud to use and recommend Matrix professional hair colour and hair care styling products.

SUSTAINABLE PRACTICES
We strive for a healthy Salon Parlour experience for each of our guests without sacrificing style. Beyond our ethical ideals we are also committed to sustainable practices wherever possible. We are keen recyclers and have implemented electronic systems wherever possible so we can limit as much paper waste as possible. We are constantly looking for innovative ways to make our salon and company more environmentally friendly and socially responsible. Our current commitments include.
OUR PRODUCTS
We have consciously selected cruelty free products without harmful ingredients to help our clients maintain healthy hair and skin while respecting and preserving the planet. We stock Biolage hair care range by Matrix and in doing so support Project Crimson, a charitable trust that aims to protect New Zealand's endangered Pohutukawa and Rata trees. Biolage is helping to raise awareness of Project Crimson in salons as well as raising crucial funds for their work- Look for stickered packs of Biolage products and help Project Crimson to plant more Pohutukawa and Rata!
ENERGY
Natural light is the best way to read your hair colour. The natural sunlight pours into our salon and for the other areas where we need a little more lighting, we use low energy LED light bulbs and an automated heating / cooling system to keep our environment comfortable while conserving energy. Our power is sourced from Meridian Energy, a supplier of energy from renewable sources.
CHEMICAL WASTE
As part of our responsibility to the wider Christchurch community to protect our beautiful water, we not only collect and dispose of any chemical waste, but we have also sourced basins that are fitted with their own individual backflow prevention in addition to the base building’s backflow prevention.

Salon Parlour is located in St Albans on the corner of Cranford and Westminster Streets. Plenty of free parking is available on the surrounding streets.
